What is it?

Before morning tea Miss Taylor told us to get something that we can blindfold ourselves with. We were all left in curiosity about what was going to happen after morning tea.

When the object was placed in front of me the rock hard smell hit me in the middle of my nose, I thought it was a actual rock that someone had thrown at me without knowing it was me they hit. I had thought it was a orange or apple slice on the paper towel.

We were told we could feel it, when I touched it it stung my cracked finger like a bee. The skin felt like a orange skin, it had a nice texture to it and it was squishy. The shape of it was a semi-circle, I still had no idea what it was.

I could hear the juice oozing out of the piece of fruit as I touched it with my hands.
I tasted the semi circle and it was fruity then sour, bitter and revolting!!!! It was as sour as a unripe mango pick too early. I knew what it was by the taste but I didn’t say what it was out loud.

When I took my blindfold off I saw the most disgusting thing in my life!!! That is why it tasted so dreadful!! I have never liked them because they are too sour. It was a big yellow semi circle shape thing, A LEMON!!!!!!!!!

Aria's metaphor poem.

Over the past two weeks Room 7 have been learning how to write effective metaphors. A metaphor is a direct comparison to an object/thing.

We made Metaphor poems to describe us as a lolly, tree, vehicle, something in our community, a sandwich and clothing. Here is a photo of my metaphor poem.

Willie Apiata.

In room 7 this term for inquiry we had to chose a real life superhero to research. We had to come up with 3 open ended burning questions about our person. I did my research on Willie Apiata. He was an army force officer. I like that he is a really good person. He was really brave in the war.
