My Speech 2016
If room 4 and 7
had 1:1 chromebooks in each classroom it would be nice to have one each. At the
moment we have to share, and wait for someone else to finish so that we can use
them. Let me tell you why I think we need one each.
If we had 1:1 chrome books in Room 4
and 7 We would not need to borrow each other's chromebooks any more.
Teachers would like that because they would not need to tell their students to
go and borrow some from another classroom.
If room 4 and room 7 were doing
something on the chromebooks and they didn't have enough, they wouldn’t
need to go to all the other classes in search of chromebooks that are spare
and then walk very slowly back to their classroom. All the people will be
able to keep one in their desks so they would be quick and easy to get and use.
If we had enough
chrome books in the class for everyone it would mean that people would not need
to get the iPad to type on. We have discovered that iPads are hard to
type on because they don't have a keyboard to type on. It doesn’t have as many
things to use and it is not as quick or as easy as on a chromebook.
If a word is
wrong you can't right click when you’re using an iPad. Chromebooks are much
easier to work on for writing than the ipads are. We use our chrome books every
day for reading, writing, Inquiry and sometimes maths. It would be great if we
could all be on at once.
Students
would have to be responsible for the chrome book. If you damaged a chromebook
you would have to pay to get it fixed or replaced. Chromebooks are very
expensive and they cost a lot of money. If you hold it by the lid it might snap
off and when I say off I mean right off.
That would be so
naughty thing to do , you would be in a lot of trouble. If we had 1:1 chrome
books we could be assigned one each, so the teachers would know whose
chromebook it was and who had caused any damage. This would be a very good
idea. Years 7-10 all have 1;1 chromebooks and they are finding it great.
It
has been really great getting chromebooks in our class, and we use them all the
time, but it would be great if we could all be on one at the same time instead
of sharing, or having to use some other kind of device. So it would be really
nice if room 4 and room 7 did have 1:1 chromebooks. We would treat them very
responsibly and we would use them very well, So can we please have a chromebook
each???????????

Hide and seek
Behind the tree, I can see her coming close to me. I feel scared when she is near me. I can smell tree leaves and pine-cones. I can hear her coming because of the crunchiness of the sticks on the ground. I hide and make myself small (really small). I feel like I am almost about to fall over but luckily I did not. I was almost about to sneeze but luckily I did not otherwise she would find me. I was lucky. It was really funny when she went passed me. I could hear her footsteps. I was creeping around the tree so she could not see me.
